Michael Azgour

Michael Azgour is a contemporary artist exploring the space between perception and reality. His paintings, rooted in the shifting nature of memory and digital media, are composed of layered applications of paint that alternate between expressive figuration and geometric abstraction.

Azgour’s award-winning work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States, Europe, and Asia, including solo shows at the Fresno Art Museum and the Art Museum of Los Gatos, and group exhibitions at Brennecke Fine Art in Berlin, the CICA Museum in Gimpo, South Korea, and the Triton Museum in Santa Clara. His paintings have been featured at major art fairs such as SCOPE NYC (solo presentation with Claire Carino Contemporary in Boston), San Francisco Art Fair (with TAG Fine Arts, London), and Seattle Art Fair (with Muriel Guepin, New York). His work is held in notable public and private collections worldwide, including Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University, Twr y Felin Hotel in Wales, UK, and Showtime Television Network in New York. Michael has exhibited alongside many highly respected artists and frequently gives lectures on his work, including a recent presentation at TEDx Krakow. He teaches drawing and painting at Stanford University.
